Artist Statement – Angie Payne
I am a Chattanooga-based photographer with a deep-rooted passion for capturing moments that tell a story. Film-trained and experienced in both darkroom and digital photography, I blend traditional and modern techniques to create compelling visual narratives. My expertise spans over 20 years, covering weddings, events, and portrait work, where I’ve honed my skills in working with both natural and studio lighting.
With an associate degree in photography and a current pursuit of my BFA in Digital Photography at a design school, I am continuously refining my craft and exploring new creative possibilities. My work is a fusion of technical precision and artistic vision, shaped by years of experience behind both film and digital cameras. Whether in the darkroom or editing digitally, my goal is to create timeless images that resonate with authenticity and emotion.
